The attached fill-in-the-blank question shows how I originally formatted an FITB question in Presenter 7.0.5 and PowerPoint 2007. Compare this image with the image on the following post. The latter image shows what happens when an FITB quiz slide is modified within Quiz Manager (even by just adding a space to the question text). Incidentally, the file was saved as PPTX, although saving as PPT produces the same result. In short, Presenter automatically changes the position of every question and answer, as well as the size of each answer text box. I've tried to check every setting, but even the Appearance tab in the Presenter Quiz Manager doesn't seem to cover this. I thought that since I had the slide the way I wanted it (as shown in the "before" image), checking the Apply formatting to all quizzes checkbox in conjunction with selecting Current Profile from the Current Profile dropdown would ensure that all FITB slides from that point would keep the settings the "correct" slide had. Unfortunately, no such luck. Does anyone have a solution, workaround, or ideas about how to fix this? It can be time-consuming having to redo slides like this. The only workaround I found so far is to create FITB questions in a different presentation and then copy those slides over to the original presentation--but that can present problems as well. I welcome any feedback about this issue. Again, please see image attached to the next post to see what happens when Presenter arbitrarily removes all the formatting changes. Thanks, Steve
