Without really looking into this at the moment, attempting to incorporate a "print button" on a question slide won't work.
 
I don't know how you have the question slides set up, but one thing that you'd have to keep in mind is that by the time you publish a deck containing question slides, the software creates an "overlapping" flash clip that most likely would eliminate any chance of interacting w/ a button on the slide.  Here's what I mean: if the question is set to 1 attempt, then by the time you click Submit, an invisible button will overlap the entire real estate of the slide...which would invariably interfere w/ any other button on screen.
 
Having said that, there is an alternative approach that you could pursue: but it requires a visit to Flash whereby you'd create that level of interactivity.  This approach does come with some caveats:
 
1. You'd have to have the expertise of coding something like a short answer element AND provide the print-type functionality (not a big deal if you're comfortable coding in ActionScript)
2. This completely bypasses the quiz container in PowerPoint.  What this means is that you can forget hooking up your custom flash solution to an LMS.  What I mean is: all questions in Presenter basically throw data to an LMS based on your interacting w/ a question.  If you create something directly in Flash, however, communicating with an LMS is an extremely difficult, if not impossible, task.
 
Either way, your choices are limited Tim.
